Question: Im very tired. i have a question about OCPD. and id like to find out as much information as i can, im young.?
hi. im 13 years old and i think i may have OCPD. very recently i thought i had maybe OCD but thats only because ive heard a lot about ocd lately. but i researched OCD very deeply. and i couldnt find a thing that those symptons or those people like their issues are completely different than mine. this is a problem for me because i love to write. and having OCPD if i have it, is very stressing.
i feel like everything has to be perfect. not right but it has to fit my liking. its like, say im in class and i see a pencil on the ground, ill want to pick it up at this exact angle and rub it on one side. for no reason just because if i dont ill feel annoyed. people dont believe me when i say i have the nerve to do something crazy. but i do.
i know its all in my mind but im young and i want to know now so i can help myself for the future.
i really cant explain myself .. but i know what helps to calm me down. if i play with my thumbs. at first it was only my right thumb, but now i can play with my thumbs and i feel calmer. for the time being.
its so stupid also because when im doing myspace surveys, ill go over each question over again continually or ill come back to it if i leave it be. :[ its really starting to annoy me!
and then i was researching and i read about how schizophrenia and OCPD were put together in many ways.
this is starting to make me sad now that i think about it.

i know a bit about schizos. my mom was one. and also i thought for a long time i was. i clang, and i have loose association.
im so scared. please help.
i hope ive sent this question at the right time to the right person.

My friend, i am 17 and had a similar problem when i was younger, not to the same extent as yours, but would always go over letter several times for no reason, i would flick certain things on and off to a certain pattern in my head like a 2 tone tune "din dun din dun" until i felt i had done it, how can i explain, like i was in one of those cookoo clocks trying to stop the pendulum from swinging, when i had succeeded i stopped doing it.

I put it down to one of those stupid things kids do when they are developing, i have totally grown out of it and have never looked back, i can only hope that the same will happen to you.

If you are a Christian, id like to tell you that as a Christian Christ Jesus has broken the power of all heridetry curses and diseases, you have nothing to fear from your parents illnesses, i would also advise you to see your pastor and get him to set you free of this habit, that is essentially what it is, and all habits can be broken by the power of Jesus Christ.

Hope ive helped, God blessHealth Question & Answer
