How bad do pap smears hurt?!

bad scale... probably a 2 or 3...ya it is a little akward but if you have a good doctor, that makes it tons better. It is really fast though, so that is why it is not bad, the whole thing takes maybe 1 to 2 min. and it hurts a little, kind of like a cramp and then its over. I agree with the other answers...2-3. More than anything its just awkward but I always get through it by just looking at the ceiling and humming a song to myself or counting backwards from 1000 =)Health Question & Answer
