Can you recieve depro vera without insurance?!

Question: Can you recieve depro vera without insurance.?
I am seventeen, but I dont talk to my mother about sex. She is kind of strict so I dont think that she would allow me to be around my boyfriend if she knew we were going to have sex. I will probably have to go to a clinic. Can you buy everything, including the visit without insurance.?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
you can get a doctor's vist and birth control with out insurance but it will be slighlty more exspensive with no insurance.

FYI: you can get generic Bc pills (unsure about genric for other methods as in the shot) for really cheap with or with out insurance.

Brand name bc is about 40 to 60 a month

generic is about 20-30 a mnth.

at planned parenthood : 1) it is always alot of people there
2) they take forrrrrrever to see you ( even with an appointment 3) they may make you sign up for the health program which takes at least a month to get approved for...and they need alot of personal info

5) the doctors at planned parenthood also try to rush you in and rush you out of there.

it just makes you feel uncomfortable and more like a number then a patient.

it is really just crazy to go to planned parenthood.

I say your best bet would to find a doctor near you that a freind could take you to if you dont drive

and get a birth control vist and office consultant..and just get on some generic birth contrl

email me if you want to know more.

also the shot makess you gain alot of weight...at 17 i would suggest a low dose pill instead of the shot if this is your frist time using BC.Health Question & Answer

My advice to you is whatever you do DONT TAKE THE SHOT! try the pills or a different birth control. the shot makes you gain a lot of weight and your period will never stop! i used to be on it and now i cant have kids...before i was on it i was ok and the doctors told me i could have kids no that i been off it my period didnt stop until a year after and i been wantin to have a baby with my fiance and i cant no matter how hard we tried its impossible for me to get pregnant pleas spread the new about it..and also a lot of people incuding my best friend and my sister have had miscarriages after they got off or while they were on it. If you go to a planned parenthood or clinic for people who dont have insurance they will tell you how much it is to get the pills and everything so ya you canHealth Question & Answer

Yes- you just need to go to the dr. Try planned parenthood (they're not just for pregnancy!)- their office visits are fairly cheap and they can help you get birth control at a cheaper price. Depo Provera is a good option if you're not comfortable taking the pill every day. Both are great options.Health Question & Answer

Yes, you can buy everything without insurance. Some clinics even give free birth control to teens.Health Question & Answer
