ur not alone ! i'm with you ! i have just started my 2nd period since having my twins but i'm not breast feeding and have been using protection so no pregnancy (someone earlier told me i prob had a misscarage but i believe u have to have unprotected sex or at least sex in general 2 get preg) ! this period is so heavy and painful nothing like a normal period but i went to see the doc 2day n he said it was fine and not to worry and even gave me a cert for 3 days off work !! he said it's because the hormones are still not back to normal and can cause heavy irregular periods . he said it can take some women up to 18 mnths for their cycles to return to normal and the hormones to settle back where they should be ! this was my 3rd preg and i'd never had this sort of thing with my other pregnancies but apparently every preg is different .Health Question & Answer

Yes, it's normal. Just consider how long it's been since your uterus has cleaned itself out. It has a lot of catching up to do!
