Question: Does monistat work for everything.?
I thought that I had a yeast infection but when I looked at the symptoms for a yeast infection, I don't have vaginal discharge that look like cottage cheese, I just have a foul smell, nd irritated skin symptoms of BV...but when I went to the docters she gave me monistat....does monistat for yeast infections work for Bacterial V.? A yeast infection does give you a strong odor.

Use what the doctor gave you, if after a week you don't feel any better, go back.
Keep yourself clean and most importantly ..dry...and wear cotton panties..no nylon!

I haven't heard of Monistat being used for infections other than a yeast infection, but your doctor might still think it is a yeast infection. It sounds like it is a yeast infection, you don't necessarily have to have discharge, the other symptoms match.Health Question & Answer
