I'm 14 and I don't have my period and I'm worried, what do i do?!

Question: I'm 14 and I don't have my period and I'm worried, what do i do.?
Okay this might be long but if ur a female i need help! Okay I'm 14 and will be 15 in about 6 months and I DO NOT have my period and I'm worried. Everyone in my grade(and probably lower) has theirs it's embarrassing. My mom and dad are worried and think something is wrong with me and none of my friends know that I don't have mine. I feel like a freak. I looked up this thing called turners syndrome(anyone heard of it.?) and it's this syndrome thingy where girls don't have all their chromosomes which means they can't get pregnant of have their period. I have like two of the symptoms, which are i'm short and I barley have boobs. Now the turners syndrome says that if untreated most girls that have this are like 4'7" at the most and i'm like 5 feet or a little taller. Then the boob thing is my boobs aren't nonexistent they're just small(I think they fit an A but they fit B's 2...IDK) I have pubic hair(I shave) and I get that white discharge stuff but that's it. I did get this brown discharge once in january and another in February. So I'm just really confused. Can anyone tell me what this means or if I should wait a little longer and see. DO u think I have this syndrome or I'm just a late bloomer. Thank u 2 all the people who respond to this long question but it's been collecting in my mind since i didn't get my period in 6th grade.Health Question & Answer

I would imagine that the brown discharge you are talking about WAS your period. It's not always regular or normal looking at first. You could have had it twice and skipped a month or what not. I'd say give it a few more months. I wouldn't bother going to a doctor unless it doesn't show up like a year from now. And the symptoms you described, it doesn't sound like you have them. You're probably just being a hypochondriac. I do that all the time.Health Question & Answer

sh*t, your fine.
For many chickas, especially if you are very athletic, their period comes later. I would not be surprised if you have a period soon though. You already have signs of puberty, so it is probably not a growth disfunction. So, don't worry about it, by like a trillion tampons, and have fun...Health Question & Answer

There could be numerous reasons for this, your best bet is to go to a doctor that can diagnose you with whatever it may be, or even just tell you that you're just not there yet. It's possible. Don't continue reading things online and freaking yourself out over it until you have solid truth from a qualified medical professional.Health Question & Answer

Everyone in your grade does NOT have it. Some may be lying and some may not say anything. It doesn't matter. Nobody is scrutinizing your bathroom breaks.
You don't need to worry for 2 more years at least, and even then it is likely normal (though around 16 it is not a bad idea to see an ob/gyn just to checkup anyways).Health Question & Answer

I would say not to worry about it. I got mine when I was 17 and I'm short and I had no boobs until after either. Consider yourself lucky not freaky, it's nothing to be thankful for, I promise ;]Health Question & Answer

I personally wouldn't worry about it. I went through that stage when it seemed that everyone had started there periods in my form or even in my year, but really it is completely fine. When your body does start your period, i don't know if it's all the time, but it's mainly the age when your mum started hers. So you could ask your mum when she started hers, and then you might get an idea of when you will start yours.
If she had started at 13 years old then don't continue to worry, because it isn't always right. Sometimes periods don't come due to early eating disorder that you have or used to have.?
However, i do NOT think you have turners syndrome or whatever because i think it's highly unlikely.
Some people even start at 17!
I'm sure you will be fine, and there's no need to worry :)Health Question & Answer

Well that's pretty damn sad, it sounds almost as if you're being pressured into getting your period.? And trust me, you should enjoy the time left before you do get it. You sound like a late bloomer, that's all. Don't stress, either. By stressing you could be causing yourself to not get it, if you get that.? Just let nature take its cause...Health Question & Answer

I think your just a late bloomer. The "norm" age to start your period is from 8-18. Plus, some women don't even start until 21. If your 22 and you still don't have your period, then that would be something to be concerned about. I would just talk to a doctor and explain your concern, he or she will be able to give you a complete answer to your question. The brown discharge also could be your period, the blood normally comes out brownish to fire red. Even if it didn't come in March, that's normal, when you first start you are not on a regular pattern. If you see the brown discharge again in April, tell your mom or aunt or another trusted women to take a look. They can tell you if you did start. It sound likely. If you didn't though, don't worry. It'll come! Hope I helped!Health Question & Answer
