Jenny is right, shaving your vagina causes it to itch when the hair is growing back.. And IloveJoeJonas is right, too, that shaving that area causes irritation.. But, really, it's up to you.. There's nothing wrong or harmful about shaving there is you do it carefully..

yes lots of women shave all or some of the hair on thier vagina for hygene purposes or because they think it looks better.. ITs your choice how much you want to shave off.. Waxing works well two but then you have to get it done by a pro which is expensive an plus you have to wait till the hair is atleast 1/2 an inch long before you get it done again.. Anyway, First clip the hair with manicure scissors to about 1/2 an inch to make it easier to shave.. use shaving cream and shave with the grain of the hair, not against it, to help prevent ingrown hairs.. After that if you still want a closer shave then use baby oil and shave against the grain.. If ingrown hairs appear then use bikini zone or hydrocortosone cream.. also make sure to use a body wash or exfoliant with salicylic acid and glycolic acid - dont worry these are pretty easy to come by, just go to the drug store.. After a while the delicate skin in that area will be less prone to ingrown hairs anyway.. It sound complicated but its easy to shave your lady parts really - plus u have to, to some extent if you wanna wear a bikini in the summer..
