Am I a good candidate for birth control?!
Question: Am I a good candidate for birth control.?
I'm 16 years old.. My periods aren't really that bad considering my flow.. I'm usually light-regular, but I'm kinda irregular, but only by a few days..
But the cramps are so bad I have to pretty much OD on medicine to make it go away, and even after that I still have pain.. My cramps usually hurt up high, like indigestion or heart burn.. And they only go away if I lay down in the fedle position and don't move at all.. If I do move, its like a shock wave and the cramps start again.. I also get a lot of ovarian cysts and every time I'm on my period I get diarrhea.. If I do have a normal stool, for some reason my vagina hurts when I go..
So, do I sound like a good candidate for birth control.? Because it sounds pretty good to me..Health Question & Answer

Answers:
I would definitely talk to your doctor about birth control.. I used to get bad cramps (with nausea and diarrhea) and birth control has helped me immensely.. Health Question & Answer
Discuss this with a doctor..
Hormonal contraception, in pills, injections and implants, can lessen period pains..
You will need to talk to a doctor about your ovarian cysts though, as if I recall correctly, some hormonal medication can interact badly with them..

The only thing that might prevent a doctor from prescribing the pill is the cysts.. I'm not sure though.. Health Question & Answer
