Question: Coloscopy and biopsy.?
i had a coloscopy and biopsy done yesterday on my cervix.. my gyno said he put some sort of scab thing over where the biopsy was done and i shouldn't bleed at all from it.. then last night i a lot of brownish discharge started to come out and there is still a lot today.. is this normal after having that done if he put the scab over where the biopsy was taken.? and if so how much longer can i expect it.?Health Question & Answer

Yes, that's totally normal.. I had a colposcopy and biopsy done too and had the same kind of discharge for a couple of days.. The brown discharge is just from the solution the doc puts on to stop the bleeding after the biopsy.. Don't worry, it's normal! By the weekend I would say the discharge should lessen quite a bit..
