Question: Is spotting considered a light period.?

I was 3 half weeks late for my period and then got spotting on and off for 5 days now.. It is extremely light i see it mostly when i wipe and it's not enough to fill a pantie liner it's was pinkish red and now brown it never got heavy or flow at all just scanty !
