How long should you bleed after a hysterectomy?!

I had my hysterectomy and bleeding if any shouldn't last that long.. Really there shouldn't be a lot of bleeding, maybe spotting here and there..

I wish I'd found the site before I had mine.. A lot of my questions and concerns would have been answered with just looking at the responses on this website.. But I stumbled on the site a few days after my hysterectomy and learned of various things I should do before the surgery, things I'm entitled to at the hospital (which the hospital doesn't tell you), questions to ask the doctor, etc.. It's an awesome site for women..

Somethings not right then.. I had a hysterectomy done a couple months ago and I stopped bleeding then.. What information did they give u on the day of discharge.. Maybe the doctor that preformed the procedure will have to go back and cauterize the place that is bleeding from.. Go to doctor and see what he says!!!!!!Health Question & Answer

my mother had this operation earlier on this year and it took agood few weeks to sort itself out.. take care of yourself and dont expect to feel better to soon..also watch out for any strange smells infection is quite common..take care and get well soon..Health Question & Answer
