I am 26.. I already saw the breast specialist.. He gave me those 2 options.. What should I do.?

I'd recommend before undergoing surgery of any sort, get a mammogram and an ultrasound done.. Then a needle-biopsy if the lump is in a place that allows for that sort of biopsy.. THEN schedule a lumpectomy (lump removal), which is minimally invasive, and then (and ONLY then) should the pathology return from either the needle or lumpectomy tests decide on a mastectomy..
It could conceivably be a completely benign lump, but ONLY pathology will tell you for sure.. Don't go hacking off body parts until you're ABSOLUTELY sure it's necessary..

get a biopsy, and if it's harmful in ANY WAY, get it removed!!!!Health Question & Answer
