When you first start use the Tampax Pearl Lites.. In the purple box =)

You can usually leave the tampon in for about 10 hours though its most defiantly not recommended..

Youll probably get uncomfortable by the time you need to take it out..

absolutely dont use Supers or heavy tampons when you have alight flow, you dont want dry ones in your vagina..

Making the switch was the best thing I ever did.. I havent used a pad since I started tampons.... so thats been 11 years!

Good luck!Health Question & Answer

pads are very uncomfortable yes i knw lol tampons are very good but they can be bad if you keep them in to long.. you can get something called tocix syndrome if the tampns are in to long.. I tend to switch off from pads and tampons.. if your going to start wearing tampons my best choice is kotex tampons they are very comfortable, just make sure you dont leave the tampons in to long and wear pads when you go to sleep at night..Health Question & Answer

Playtex Sport feels just like the rest of the tampons so you really don't need a specific type but I would reccomend plastic over cardboard tampons.. A regular tampon can stay in 3-5 hours and a super tampon can stay in for 5-7 hours.. It really just depends on your flow.. I hope I helped.. Good luck :]Health Question & Answer

get the 360 degrees one, not the wide width one.. idk which one that is though.. tampax pearl looks pretty stable.... and big.. read the boxes and stuff, get ones with more coverage and thickness..
personally, i dont like tampons -they hurt.. more prone to infections too..

you should always change your tampon after 4 hours.. that's the best way to avoid infections and leaking.. dont sleep with one either..Health Question & Answer

The tampon you use should depend on your flow, many women switch absorbency's as their period gets lighter.. The first time you use a tampon, I would strongly suggest using a light, slender or junior tampon for the first cycle.. Smaller tampons are easier to insert, plus you'll get an idea of how heavy your flow is.. Just wear a liner or slim pad.. How often you need to change it will give you an idea of what absorbency you should be using and any leftover light tampons can be used on light flow days..

You shouldn't use a more absorbent tampon than you need (no super tampons on a light flow day).. They put you at increased risk of Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS).. Tampons should be changed every 4-8 hours.. Wearing one for more than 8 hours puts you at increased risk for TSS..

As for brands, it is really a personal preference, one isn't better than the other.. My preference is Tampax Pearl Unscented, but they all stay put..
