If you have a cyst on your cervix and the doctors offer surgery to remove how would the surgery go.? Would they cut through your stomach.?Health Question & Answer

I've had to have abnormal cells on my cervix cut out.. It's surgery done under local anesthetic, they freeze your cervix.. They open up your vagina just like a normal pap test, with a speculum.. It doesn't take more than 5-10 minutes maximum with the actual procedure.. Most women feel very little pain or discomfort during the procedure.. I felt the larger speculum extremely uncomfortable, since I have a narrow than average vagina.. You'll also spot for a few weeks while your cervix heals..

Depending on what part of the cervix the cyst is located, I believe that they would actually enter through your vaginal canal and not the stomach..Health Question & Answer
