What to do about being anemic?!
Question: What to do about being anemic.?
Is there some sort of vitamin I can take.? I haven't been to the doctor in awhile...... I don't have any health insurance at the moment, either.. When I was a kid, I do specifically remember my doctor telling me at almost every visit that I was anemic.. What are the signs of anemia.? Does it effect your feet at all.? Dizzy spells.? It seems as though ever since I gave birth to my daughter, the nails on my toes have gotten really brittle and my feet are bloated and slightly purplish.. If that makes any sense at all.. I did some research, and anemia is the only thing that I could come up with that fit in with the problems with my feet..Health Question & Answer
Answers:
The signs of anemia are fatigue, getting tired easily, dizziness, getting cold easily, numbness in your hands and feet, and rapid heart rate.. Dry skin can also sometimes be a symptom.. It does sound like you could be anemic.. If you're anemic, you should definitely be taking iron tablets.. You could also take a multivitamin, which may help a little.. You can get iron tablets and multivitamins over the counter, so not having insurance isn't a problem as far as that goes.. You can also try to eat foods rich in iron, like red meat and green vegetables.. Good luck! I hope this helps! Health Question & Answer
