This happens to a lot of people. Ask your doctor. She can tell you if it appears normal, since she has probably seen thousands of them. If it is enlarged, you can have it surgically reduced.

But really, don't worry about it, it's all normal =)
As for the hurting part, I'm not sure why that would happen. Perhaps ask a doctor about that.
