When Should I start my birth control pills?!

Question: When Should I start my birth control pills.?
I'm restarting Loestrin 24 Fe and I don't know if I should start when I get my period (keeping my cycle the same) or do a Sunday start (which would change my cycle). The first time i started it I started on my period. My doctor says I can choose when I start but I can't make up my mind. And also how long will it take to become effective.? (I've only been off it for a month). Thanks in advance!Health Question & Answer

If u start it on the first day of ur period it tells u that u arent pregnant when u start it and u will be covered for pregnancy in a week..prob from when u start it but leave it a week just in caseHealth Question & Answer

Take it on your first day of your period. It will be working by the time your period ends. If you want to change your dates of your period just skip taking the fake pills and stay on the regular ones. Your period when you are taking them isn't a real period it is a withdrawal from the pills. Health Question & Answer

Take it the first Sunday after your last period. Takes one month to be effetive.Health Question & Answer

I'd start on a Sunday. It's easier to keep track of.
