Don't worry about it. I'm 23 and my periods can still be a funky color from time to time. The RN was probably right; you probably just need to drink more water. Don't worry, it sounds normal. It does not mean you're pregnant. Pregnant women *may* have blackish blood, but that usually indicates a huge problem. If you've never had sex, you're not pregnant, so that doesn't apply to you. Relax :)... If you're still freaked out, go to the doctor. But I seriously doubt (s)he'll tell you anything different. Theres nothing wrong. When the blood is new its really red but when its gets old it turns a brownish red color dont worry all womens periods are like that you dont have to go to the doctor.Hope i helped:)Health Question & Answer
