Personally I don't think it's worth the risk. I have periods every 28 days and I bleed 13-14 of those days 5 of which are heavy! I went on yaz and was told to discontinue it because I was getting massive headaches and they said that they could be a precursor to a stroke. Stroke is a real risk with birth control... you need to research and think your options over. Personally I would rather take midol and not risk the stroke.Health Question & Answer
