You just have to deal with it this runs in my family heart aneurysms and brain aneurysms as well. Unusually how everyone passes away in my family some have passed away when they were young because of this problem. You manage it by making sure your family member in your case your mother keeps up on all her medical and make sure she get's the proper scan and test very often to monitor aneurysms. I have had one myself I'm 29 now that's how bad they run in my family. When I had mine it sounded like a gun shot went off in my head. The loudest sound I have ever heard but inside my head. It's definitely scary. Nothing nobody can do because you can't really prevent them so you just have to deal with it and accept it. The scary thing is you can have surgery most of the time to cut the oxygen and blood supply off one one but it seems like when their is one there is always another, that would explain why your mom had 6 hopefully she has had no strokes because of it as well.
You have no choice but to manage it and just go on with your life if you sit around and worry when will the next one be you going to drive yourself crazy. I hope your mom is doing well just try to keep your mind busy to take it off of this horrific health problem all you can do.Health Question & Answer

you sound like you're having a hard time dealing with this. i havent gone through what you have gone through, but i do have some background in the medical field. i know how tough it is sometimes on families. I've learned that some people deal with situations like this by having some time to themselves. I know it sounds awfully selfish, but if you dont take care of yourself, you can not take care of your sick mother. just take some time off out of a day, and walk in the park.. clear your head, go out with friends, etc. I can also suggest looking for a support group that deals with grieving of sick family members. there should be some information about this on your mom's hospital. i wish you the best of luck.Health Question & Answer

Drugs may be prescribed to lower blood pressure and reduce the risk of rupture. Abdominal aneurysms that are large or increasing in size should be treated surgically. Enlarging thoracic aneurysms should be considered for surgery. A dissecting or ruptured aneurysm requires emergency surgery.
