Please read, would this rule out ectopic?!

Question: Please read, would this rule out ectopic.?
So after my period being late i was testing positive on HPT, 13th, 14th and 16th September. I started bleeding on 18th September, went to gynae, sasid the lining of the womb ws thick and it was either the start of my period or implantation, he then done a urine sample and as it was negative he sadi i wasn't pregnant. Not convinced with this i went to my doctor the following day, urine test was again positive, but faint. She drew blood at which i was to get the results yesterday but for some reason they weren't processed. Anyway, i went to gynae again last nite due to a bit of blood (i had stopped bleeding completely on sunday) and pain in lower abdomen towards the right side. Again, another ultrasound, nothing to be seen. Bloods were taken this time and i got the results there now and HCG Levels came back at 4 so they treat this as negative. I asked would this completely rule out ectopic and he said yes that the levels would still be high. I am still a little concerned as i still have slight pain down there. Is he right in sayn that it is ruled out because of such low levels.?

Just looking for anyone who has been in a similar situation. They never even said if it was miscarriage because they never had the first set of bloods.

Longwinded and confusing i know.

Lining of the womb was thick when i went in on thursday and yesterday it was thin

One reason for a conflict between the tests at home and in the doctor's office may be how concentrated your urine was at the time. If you used first morning urine at home, after not having gone to the bathroom for several hours, then the concentration of hCG in that specimen would have been higher; if you emptied your bladder before going to the doctor and then gave another specimen, there might not have been a high enough concentration of hCG in that specimen. Most urine pregnancy tests instruct you not to urinate for two to four hours before performing the test. A second reason for the discrepancy is the one I mentioned above -- your home test may detect a lower level of hCG than the doctor's test.

Get the Blood test results they would confirm if you are or not. If they can't find them then do another blood test.
