Is it normal for women who might be pregnant to get carpal tunnel syndrome?!
Question: Is it normal for women who might be pregnant to get carpal tunnel syndrome.?
Answers:
Completely normal! The baby presses on all sorts of nerves, and all nerves are attached to other areas of the body. I used to work with a woman who got carpal tunnel symdrome so bad she had to go on early mat leave, 5 months into her pregnancy.Health Question & Answer
It is normal for your body to have chemicals that relax you ligaments and tendons getting your body ready for your pelvis to expand etc. I would venture to say it wouldn't be much of a stretch (lol) for carpal tunnel especially if you already were inclined to develop it.Health Question & Answer
I have never heard of a woman who might be pregnant getting anything that anyone else wouldn't get. I don't think it's normal, but only because the people I know who might be pregnant have never had carpal tunnel. Have you checked it out with a doctor.? Your arm and wrist might just be strained. Good luck. Health Question & Answer
