Nursing or not nursing has nothing to do with postpartum depression. But you should at least try to nurse - the very first breast milk has very important immune-boosting nutrients for the baby. The baby will decide whether the nipples are the right size! LOL And breastfeeding is a wonderful experience. But even if you can't nurse you still will be able to bond with the baby.
Don't worry about the depression thing - it is very common and can happen whether you nurse or not. If it is a problem your doctor can give you medication to help. Health Question & Answer
