A few weeks ago I had to urinate very frequently for a few days. I thought I could be pregnant but then it stopped, and about a week later I started my period. Now it's back! It just started a few hours ago but it's horrible. In the past hour I have run to the toilet like 8 times, but each time nothing comes out, or maybe just a tiny bit. After I sit on the toilet for a little waiting for nothing, I go back to what I was doing and literally within five minutes I start feeling like I have to pee again. I try to ignore it until I'm sitting there shaking my legs feeling like I'm going to wet myself if I don't go right away.
The only thing I can think of is a UTI but I don't know. Are there other possibilities.?Health Question & Answer

See your doctor, probably a UTI. You will need to give a urine for culture and sensitivity, and will probably get presumptive treatment in the meantime. That means that the lab will test your urine to see what organism is causing the problem and check to make sure that the antibiotic you're given in the meantime will kill the bug. It's definitely a UTI. You have all my sympathies, I know your pain. Don't listen to the posts that tell you to just drink water and/or cranberry juice. Those are good things to do, yes, but you must get on an antibiotic immediately (Rx only) or you risk the infection spreading into your kidneys which can cause much more serious and painful complications. Before I read any of the answers, I would say get checked.... Some STD's can cause this feeling. (Trust me, I know) It's a serious thing. I don't want to scare you but you said you thought you could be pregnant meaning you've had unprotected sex. (Which we ALL have done).... Seriously tho, please go to the dr. YEAH thats probably it sorry to confirm it, i ve had a lot like i dont know why i think cause i hold it in alot, but becareful because a UTI can travel up to your kidney which is vry painfulHealth Question & Answer
UTI is my guess. I just had one this last week and it is a horrible feeling.. I suggest going to the dr for antibiotic as soon as you can. Health Question & Answer
