Signs of Endometriosis?!
Question: Signs of Endometriosis.?
I am having a leparoscopy this month. Just wondering if these are signs of endometriosis- which is why they are going in there:
- For 4 years I have had random times (more common on period) where my cramps go to the extreme. To the point that I can't move, curled into a ball, dry heaving, cold sweats. The next day I can walk again but hunched over in pain and can't sit up or stand up straight. The day after that I can stand straighter but i still hurt.
-Random back cramps that can go to the extreme or light. I thought it was my kidneys but blood tests said they were fine.
- in an exam at my gyno- the finger one and pushing down on your pelvis- caused uncomfortabilty- not too much pain. but after i was a little sore.
- certain positions in intercourse causes sharp pains.
But I'm only 17. Am I too young to have it.?.?.? Any personal experience like this that turned out to be it.?Health Question & Answer

the back pain worries me. I had endo and it ended up on my kidneys. A blood test shows nothing. They need to be doing ultrasounds, ct scans, and a renal scan to rule out any kidney issues. My left ureter became blocked due to endo and it had to come out.Health Question & Answer
You aren't too young to have it. It does sound a lot like endo. I was diagnosed when I was 20 or so. It can happen at any age post puberty. I opted to not have the procedure since I was in college and didn't have a doctor near by. I can say that birth control is a very effective treatment with endo. I tried a bunch until the depo shot and it helped my cramps so much since I didn't have a period. You can lead a very normal life with endo. It's not that bad once it's under control.Health Question & Answer
awe i'm so sorry for you being in so much pain! :(
well, it is possible. there are really no diseases that you must be a certain age to acquire. i would definitely make a doctor appointment sometime soon.
