I think its called implanon here in the UK.
Is it a pain never having periods, do you have pregnancy scares all the time.?
Did you have mood swings.?
Did your libido go out the window.?
Did you gain weight.?
I know everybody is different but I'm guessing its the same as being on the progestogen only pill which you take continuously, so no more periods.
My biggest worry is my libido disappearing, followed by turing into a big fat whale (with acne). Health Question & Answer

Many women have problems with this form of contraception, including very erratic, irregular bleeding, some find this will clear up, many don't and end up having it removed. I'm afraid I have heard more unsuccessful stories than successful stories with Implanon. Of all the contraceptions, this is the one women tend to have the most problem with.
Implanon is effective for up to 3 years, then it has to be changed, it has a fail rate of 0.05%. Many women report headaches, irregular periods, Acne and libido problems with Implanon. Unfortunately, some Drs fail to warn their patients of the common side effects before giving it to them.
With that said, some women don't have problems at all; if you do try it and it doesn't work for you, you can always have it removed. Why don't you try the Progesterone only pill Cerezette.? Or if pills aren't for you, the contraceptive injection.? That only has to be given every three months.? Look at all the options and make an informed choice.Health Question & Answer

I have had the implant (Implanon) now for just under a year and im already considering having it taken out my periods have been all over the place and my weight gain has been terrible, but everybody is different my friend had it done also a few months back and love it, she hasn't had a period since and has only put a few pounds on.
Make sure before you go for it you have researched it as doctors tend to only give you a brief talk about the pros and cons and really dont go into much detail.
My libido increased after having it done to which made me a little crazy there for a while lol my skin has never been so clear either which is a bonus
