Can UTIs go away on their own?!

Question: Can UTIs go away on their own.?
Do you always have to get medical attention for Urinary Tract Infections, or can they go away on their own.?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
No, a UTI will not go away on its own hon. You need to see a doctor for immediate medical treatment. If you leave it go it can turn into a kidney infection which is far worse because you will require heavier antibiotics and there are possible serious repercussions such as kidney failure (worst case scenario). Just bite the bullet and get yourself to the doctors ASAP. Good luck!Health Question & Answer

DO NOT WAIT!

Yes some mild ones can go away.
But some can also get ALOT worse.
They can be EXTREEMLEY PAINFUL!
I have reoccuring ones and am now on long term medication.
As soon as you feel it its better to just go straight away so you dont have to suffer in the future.
Its a simple prosess all you have to do is go to the gp and say you think you have a urine infection then the doctor may ask what symptoms you have then give a urine sample and he will perscribe antibiotix. Just make sure when he asks your syptoms you give them all, pain during sex etc because it may not be that.
But trust me you want to get rid of it.
Hope this helps and good luck!Health Question & Answer

No, usually not, but it is not so bad to go to the doctor, don't worry, I was nervous too!
But it was a piece of cake, I just went in, told the doctor my symptoms and I peed in a cup and she wrote up a prescription for me, they don't have to check you out down there or anything, don't worry, it will be fine.
Good luck, Hun! :)Health Question & Answer

Yes, mild ones can go way on their own. I know I've had mild ones before because I could feel the slight burning when I peed, and I knew it was because I hadn't peed after sex. I would wait a week, and if the symptoms get worse, go the doc. Health Question & Answer
