I was turned into a girl at the age of 1 due to a botched circumcision, should I remain a girl or change back?!

Question: I was turned into a girl at the age of 1 due to a botched circumcision, should I remain a girl or change back.?
I went in for a routine circumcision when I was ten months old, but the process went badly wrong, and the best outcome was to surgically construct a vagina - turning me into a girl. Now I am 17 and I'm living life happily, I've had a boyfriend - but I'm not sure whether I should continue living as a girl - and get the final surgeries to complete me as a woman, or change back to my original gender. Which one would make more sense.?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
The fact that you're asking the question means you're not ready to make any drastic decisions. If you are happy in your body, stay the way you are. At 17, you either have the male hormones that are turning your appearance more male, or you're getting (or should be, if you intend to stay female) female hormones, which should give you breasts without additional surgery.

The one that makes you the happiest would make the most sense

This has happened before in history, There was a case where they followed the child from one year old to adulthood to study how this affected the child from the 1960's into the 80'sHealth Question & Answer

I would stay as you are right now. I agree with the other person, you aren't ready for that kind of desicion if you're asking this.
It could also cause complications for later on.

Go with whichever one you want though, and will make you happy.

Good luck :)Health Question & Answer
