Since the doctor will already have your abdomen open for the c-section, the tubal won't cause you any extra problems. Your recovery time should be about the same as it would be from a c-section without a tubal.
I had a tubal ligation (after a vaginal birth) and aside from some discomfort for a few days, there were no ill effects. It was well worth it, since I can't take birth control and now I never have to worry about that again.

My crazy brother and his crazy second wife had $30,000 worth of surgery and got her tubes untied and his vasectomy reversed. They have a fourteen year-old daughter.
