Answers:
There is a very effective way to treat vaginal yeast infections using garlic, vinegar, and yogurt. I know it sounds strange but the garlic kills the yeast overgrowth, the vinegar adjusts the acidity to create an environment where yeast doesn't grow easily, and the yogurt is a probiotic that introduces "good" bacteria that fight against future overgrowth. The over-the-counter and prescription drugs only work to kill the yeast (sometimes) and do nothing to prevent it from coming back. They also all have dangerous side effects. For me lots of cranberry juice helps. Another remedy is to use plain yogurt and apply it to the affected areas. I have tried this and it does work. The bacteria cultures in the yogurt go to work on the yeast.Health Question & Answer
