Totally messed up periods, or lack there of?!
Question: Totally messed up periods, or lack there of.?
The last three months, my periods have been totally irregular. In August, my period was about 8 days late, and then I had it for one day, and it went away. Then came back two days later and lasted one more day. Then it was gone. In september, my period was 2 days late and I had spotting for two days, then the third day was crazy heavy flow, and then I spotted for like three more days. And now again, I have been waiting for my period for about a week. Still nothing. I had cramps yesterday, but they only lasted about 15 minutes and then went away. I haven't had a sign of my period since. I'm not experiencing any pregnancy symptoms, and I've already taken a test. I am so frustrated with my periods. Has anyone else had weird irregular periods like this.? And if so, what was the cause.? My periods are usually bang on! I don't know what caused this to happen. Help please.Health Question & Answer

Im the same - i went to the doctors who told me to be tested for something called PCOS - polycystic overies syndrom - excuse the spelling. - but they send you for an ultrasound scan - *shudder* and they can tell you if it is.
Over the past 4 years i have had periods for 2 days or at one point 4 months non stop.
Another prob could be if not PCOS is "agressive hormones" which i was also diagnosed with - i was put on something called utolaven
Again not my problem, at the moment i am being referred to a gyno because they are unsure what the prob is but i believe they may put you on something called Tranexamic acid which is what i am on to see if they can regulate mines and they will also try the pill.
amazingally its quite common but also a pain in the neck and you never know when your next one will be.
hope its sorted huni - i feel your pain :) xxHealth Question & Answer
