sure! well, actually, let me backtrack. this is a yes-or-no answer.
yes:
- you like the look and more "mature" feel
- maybe your girlfriends do, there's nothing wrong with wanting to fit in a little!
- bras nowadays are made for far more than just support
- it's fun to enter "the world of womanhood" when you're good and ready, and for you maybe that's now!
no:
- you're ONLY doing it to fit in
- it's for attention or so boys will notice

well speaking as a mom with a 9 year old daughter....We have started her in wearing a bra for a couple of reasons: her breast has started to point and to keep it discreet as possible her dad wants her to wear one, also if something was to ever happen to me i want her to already be comfortable about the whole boob issue. Today's world is filled with so many sick people wanting to harm little ones and girls are looking like grown women now and days, we are trying to keep her in the little girl image as long as possible. I'm not sure if your mom wants you to or doesn't but as mentioned a sports bra is a good start, and if you are further along (cups) it will definitely help to prevent sagging, don't want that trust me. It doesn't really matter. It is up to the girl and her mother. I think it is dumb to buy a bra and stuff it, but I don't see anything wrong with getting a training bra before you have the goods to fill it out. I didn't have that problem personally, I got mine earlier than most everyone else but all of my friends at least wore a training bra by 5th grade. If your mom is saying no way, let her win this argument... there will be bigger, more important arguments down the road that you guys will battle out. it doesn't really make a difference. if you don't need the supported i would recommend a basic bra without under wire ect. that why you get used to wearing one before you actually need one.
