We choose to remove our pubic hair off by the roots for healthy, hygienic sanitary clean fresh feeling of not having urine, fecal matter, discharge and menstruation clumped and clogged between our legs.
During menstruation hair could get stuck on underneath the adhesive side of the maxi pad, get stuck inside the holes of the maxi pad cover at the front side and if pubic hair gets soaked with menstruation than down there would be in so much pain because all that hair will snag and get stuck on the maxi pad from being soaked with blood that dried up. When swimming pubic hair puffs out and sticks out at the sides which is nasty!
It makes sex a lot less painful because during penetration hair can snag and gets pulled in which really hurts!
During hot climates or even after working out sweat gets trapped there.

No! That's not why they do it at all! They think all guys prefer it shaved (I don't). They also think its cleaner that way (i.e. periods etc..). There may be some truth to that. But if they bathe daily it shouldn't be a problem.

I don't think that they are shaving because of that. My wife shaves because she knows I don't like having hair in my nose while I am down there. I also do not like the thought of organic dental floss in my mouth. As you can tell, I love to eat off a clean plate.Health Question & Answer
