Symptoms of Pregnancy? Still getting period. Could it be an infection?!

Question: Symptoms of Pregnancy.? Still getting period. Could it be an infection.?
RIght in the middle of my cycle I starting having a bad (fishy) odor down there which lasted for quite a few days, so I thought it was an infection. Then, about a week later I had spotting for a few days and a pinkish color when I wiped. I have never had spotting before. Then a day or so later my breasts starting getting extremely sensitive. My breasts havent hurt since they stopped growing when I was about 17, I'm now 21. I was worried I was pregnant so I took a pregnancy test and it was negative, but I didn't even have a missed period yet so I wasn't sure if it was wrong. Then, a few days before I was supposed to get my actual period, I starting having some more regular bleeding and I am still bleeding now: about 5 days later and only 1 day into my "normal" period time. Another fact: I have been on The Pill for about 3 years now and I have been taking the same brand on time and correctly and have NEVER had an abnormal period or breast tenderness.

COULD I BE PREGNANT.?.?.? I've researched and found that you can still bleed if you are pregnant.

What about the fishy odor before that went away.?.? Could it have been an infection that caused all these other symptoms.?Health Question & Answer

The breast tenderness does sound a little odd, but you don't sound like you're pregnant. It could be some sort of infection. Vagisil makes an infection screening kit that checks your pH level for possiblity of infection. You could try that, or you could check with your doctor. The second is the safer bet, but the first is definitely cheaper.Health Question & Answer

you can get a full period for up to three months while your pregnant... and maybe you did take the test too early, try taking another one... if not you could have had a uti (urinary tract infection) so go see a doctor... after a few years of using the same pill your body might be immune and it may be time to switchHealth Question & Answer

fishy odor indicates infection, not pregnancy. the test will be accurate a month after you would have conceived. get a blood test if you are still unsure. Health Question & Answer
