She does not HAVE to have a period. Why would any woman want it every month. I've been on Depo Provera injections for about 8 years and don't have periods, don't have cramps and don't have PMS or migrains like I used to with periods. I plan on staying on it right into menopause! I don't miss periods AT ALL. Doctors say it is ok not to have one. They have birth control pills that do the same thing.Health Question & Answer

If she has had her period before and its just suddenly stopped then she needs to see a doctor that's not normal. Be a good friend and offer to go with her for support.

Is your friend over 50.? If so she's probably going through menopause. Otherwise I can't think of any other reason why she isn't getting her period unless she had her uterus removed or something. Health Question & Answer
