MRI abnormal with 1.3cm x 2.3 cm x 3.0 cm assymetry, not definate lesion, recommending second look breast ultrasound. Sooooo.... three out of four tests show abnormality 3cm behind nipple in 12 o'clock region of breast. Slightly enlarged lymph nodes in left neck and left axilla. Scared to death - what should they do next.? Would love you opinion.
Past history - maternal g'mom with breast cancer in her late 60's woth part mastectomy, chemo and radiation. Myself with non-hodgekins lymphoma treated with radiation, no chemo.Health Question & Answer

Answers:
I had similar problems, and the mass behind my nipple was scar tissue left behind due to a reoccurring cyst... WHich at the TIME of the mamo WAS the size of a golf ball. OUCH does NOT describe THAT pain!
I pray all is well with YOU, the waiting forever IS THE worst, I am sorry you are going through this.
I am not convinced that my doctor is right about me due to the lump under my arm that reoccurs and a swollen gland on that side of my neck too. PLUS a long history of my doctors being REALLY wrong other times /c:
DOn't STOP until YOU believe what the problem is. With your history they should be very diligent.Health Question & Answer

I'll be honest with you--as a person who has battled cancer, this does not sound good. Have your doctor order a cancer marker test and perhaps a biopsy.

If your oncologist determines that you have malignancy in any of those areas, request a consultation with a chemotherapist ASAP. When cancer gets into the lymph nodes it is almost impossible to treat it with radiation without damaging the surrounding tissue--and it can migrate from the nodes to practically anywhere (although the lungs and the liver are particularly at risk; be sure to get those organs CT-scanned regularly).

I hope everything will be alright for you. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.Health Question & Answer

You'll have to check with your doctor, but they may want to do a biopsy if they can access the mass. They will use a needle to take the biopsy, and then test to see if it is cancerous.Health Question & Answer
