Ok i wore thongs to University (cuz I wore slacks and I didnt want my underwear to be seen) and got my period , so i went to buy tampons. I have never used tampons be4. I inserted one at around 10:45 AM. Its 3:41 right now and I cant seem to be able to pull it out by pulling the string. I bought the lowest absorbency. I am usually light on my first day...

1st thing to do is relax.
That might be all you need to do. Your muscles are most likely tensing up because you are nervous, and that just gets worse as you get more worried about it!
Chill, relax, breath....... The make sure you are tugging the string gently but firmly and down and forwards, not straight down. Try raising your feet a little, so your groin is pointing forward, rather than into the toilet.
If you can't remove it just with the aid of a little calmness, get a little lubrication, spread it about as much as you can, and as deep as you can (be gentle with yourself) and just try again.

well it has already been in longer than usually recommended. I would tug harder on the string it may hurt a little due to dryness but it should come out. If that fails, using your thumb and middle finger reach up until you can feel the bottom of the tampon pinch it and pull it out. Or if you have amazing keagle muscles you could try pushing it out like if your having a baby. as I said it may hurt a little because of dryness but it can't be in much longer than you have had it in so you need to just bite down and pull. you probably cant pull it out because it is too dry and is sticking to the sides in there but you shouldnt leave a tampon in that long and you should witch back and fourth between pads and tampons or else you could get toxic shock syndrome and that can kill you you gonna have to just pull it out its gonna sting for a sec but it wont hurt you trust me its happened to me before and also they make pads that fit on thongsHealth Question & Answer
If you are light on your first day, you are probably having a hard time getting it out since it is not wet enough. It is going to hurt but you do not want to leave it in longer then 6ish hours. try pulling on the cord, hard but not too hard and a little at a time as you don't want to break them. if it does not come out easily, and hurts to do so, it does not have enough blood on it. this is probably because you are quite light.
it will come out if you pull it harder - it should come out a lot easier tomorrow. it may hurt a little when you pull it this time though, but will not do any damage.

If your period is really light its pretty normal. The tampon may not have absorbed enough which is why it won't come out easily. Leave it in for a while longer. If its still hard to get it out in a couple hours force it out. It's unhealthy to keep them in for too long.Health Question & Answer

take a shower and get it wet; it comes out easier if its wet.
