Question: Do you sleep with tampons in.?
i just started using tampons, but i'm still using pads at night because i'm afraid i'll sleep more than 8 hours. what do YOU do.?Health Question & Answer

As long as you use a tampon that is the appropriate absorbency, put a new one in before bed, and take it out when you wake up, the 8 hour thing isn't a big concern. Just perform proper hygiene and change your tampon as needed.Health Question & Answer
I have slept with tampons for over 30 years... When I was younger I used to get up in the middle of the night and change because I needed to. also.... 30 yrs ago there was no knowledge of TSS. I only have a short and very light period now so I dont change at night anymore. The 8 hours "rule" never bothered me..... I love my sleep.Health Question & Answer
i only use them on school nights because i usually don't get much sleep then. i use pads on the weekend, when i sleep like 12 hours.

I wouldn't risk it. Only very very rarely do I sleep with a tampon in, and that's if I put it in right before I fall asleep. And I try not to sleep more than 8 hours with it in.

I've been using tampons at night for over 13 years and never had a problem, then again I use the proper absorption for me and I never sleep over 8 hours.Health Question & Answer

I freaked out just like you and was waking up at 2 or 3am to change my tampon because I was scared of TSS..
Now I use all nighter pads!! They last you the night!!
