Can using condoms prolong time before period starts?!


Question: Can using condoms prolong time before period starts.?
I was just wondering if this was true..
My boyfriend said that using condoms can prevent your period from starting on time..i kind of debated with him on this.. because i thought having sex at all can delay it...
I'd like a few opinions
