Is there a limit to how many times you can try putting in a tampon?!

Question: Is there a limit to how many times you can try putting in a tampon.?
I'm 15 and I was trying to put in a tampon. I've tried a couple of times in a row. Is that bad.? Can I get TSS from putting them in and taking them out too much.? Health Question & Answer

Answers:
No you can't get tss from doing that.

The only danger is putting it in fot too lonf or when you don't have your period.

I tried millions of times omg. The important thing is to keep relaxed ans the stress can cause you vagina muscles to contract then you won't be able to get it in at all.

Blow on the back of your hand to distract your mind and take a deep breath. Aim upwards and towards your back. Try putting your finger up first to understand exactly where you are aiming.

You'll get there. Good Luck.Health Question & Answer

Nope! Only from putting them in and keeping them in for too long. The problem is if they get really full while they're up there. If your having trouble getting it to fit right try putting one leg up on the toilet seat while you insert it, the angle really helps it get where it needs to go. also make sure you're putting it far enough up there, if it's only half way in it feels uncomfortable. The general rule is that if you can't feel it it's in correctly.

Don't worry if it takes you a few tries, it takes time and patience!

also, make sure you're not trying to put the same one in over and over, once it comes out of the applicator flush it if it didn't go in right.

Good luck!Health Question & Answer

you can only get TSS if you leave a tampon in for a long period of time, many hours, days etc... there is no limit on trying to put one in, if you are having problems, read the directions or come back here adn ask step by step how to do it, just look @ the pictures. TSS Is Toxic Shock Syndrome, it means you have too many toxins in your body for too long, putting in and taking out a tampon has nothing to do with it. Health Question & Answer

The only thing i can think of is that by repeatedly inserting and removing a tampon, the vaginal walls will become extremely dry, and might cause irritation by pulling out a dry tampon. A tampon should be somewhat 'full' in a sense before removal. TSS is a very rare syndrome, but it IS possible. Too high absorbency tampons for your flow is a cause of TSS. Health Question & Answer
