Will the morning after pill (plan b) still work if...?!

Did you normally get your period at that time of the month.? I had unprotected sex one day, and the next day got a period. It was an odd time of the month for me to be on it. I was pregnant, but still got my period.Health Question & Answer

You should have read instructions. It works the best if the first pill is taken within 12 hours, but it can still work if taken withing 72 hours. After 72 hours plan B is not effective. But since you got period on the next day after sexual intercourse, it is not likely that you'll get pregnant (the most dangerous time is between periods). Be safe next time.Health Question & Answer

i agree that once you've got your period the morning after pill is unnecessary.

but WHY would you do that.?.?.? if you have your period then you are NOT pregnant.the plan B pill prevents you from getting pregnant and so therefore you are not!!! Why take unnecessary hormones.?Health Question & Answer
