Question: Do pads work better than tampons.? read the details....?
seems like tampons hold the blood in a lot, while pads, let more menstrual blood flow...like pads seem to make the flow faster, while tampons seem to make the flow slower...
i'm also wondering even though pads work better, they always seem to leak or fill up quick like within the first and second day, and they carry a scent...
pads carry more bacteria since its on the outside of the body, but tampons could lead to toxic shock syndrome, so it all just depends...Health Question & Answer

for me i prefer tampons because:
for me, they make my slow faster, not slower
pads feel uncomfortable and wet
with tampons you can completely forget you re on your period
with tampons you feel more active
tampons have no fear of leaks or people knowing your on your period
yes, pads can smell
tampons can cause TSS, but its very very rare, especially if you use them correctly.
so there are pros and cons of each, but i would recommend at least trying tampons.

they both have really minor issues, like TSS and bacteria build-up, but they are both very minor and tss is very rare. pretty much it comes down to comfort, and tampons are SO much more comfortable then pads. whatever you wear, i dont think it affects your flow either, just tampons hold it in better and there so much smaller so it can look like less, if thats what your getting at.
also leaks can happen with both pads and tampons so really it just comes down to personal preference, lol i prefer tampons so i like them better anyways.Health Question & Answer

i think you're overanalyzing this. tampon vs. pads really have no effect on blood flow. and as to which works better... it's really just a personal preference as to which you like better.Health Question & Answer
It depends on what a person prefers.

i perfer tampons better beacuse they are cleaner and they dont get as filled so quickly. and it just depends on how your flow is if its fast or not. Health Question & Answer
