My circumcision went badly wrong when I was 10 months old so I'm now a girl and 17 years old, what to do next?!

Question: My circumcision went badly wrong when I was 10 months old so I'm now a girl and 17 years old, what to do next.?
I know I am only seventeen, but I want to make my decision soon so I can move on with life as either a girl and go ahead with surgeries to complete me as a woman, or go back to being a boy - which I haven't been since I was about one year old. What I do know is that I'm attracted to males, I have my ears pierced etc, so this is weighing in favour of staying the way I am. I just don't know what the benefits of either are - I was born as a male so maybe I should grow up as a male, but I have lived as a female for sixteen years. I just don't know. Can anyone help me make my decision.?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
So what remains to be done.?

The remains of your penis were presumably removed.

We take it your testicles were removed as well.

That leaves you no longer a boy.

Presumably your genitals were reconfigured to look like a girl's.

Was a vagina created.?

Have you been on hormones to give you artificial puberty as a girl and cause you to develop breasts.?

The reality is that without testicles and a functional penis you can never really relate to other males as a male.

With suitable hormone treatment you can probably live life as a female in all respects other than the fact that you can't have children.Health Question & Answer

thats weird
i never knew just cos they cut the whole penis off if the circumcision goes wrong.

well ur dna would be male.. but u might just have to live as a transexual. there are other ppl out there similar to uHealth Question & Answer

Do you feel comfortable with the way you are.?

Being female is what you are used to, its who you've grown up as. Even though you were born male, your personality seems female, so it would probably be a major upheaval on everything 'you' to revert back to being male.

Unless of course you don't feel like you belong in your female body (which from your information doesn't appear to be the case) I would stick with who you are.

Not really for me to say though, you have to think very, very hard about this for your own happiness in the future.

Good luck!Health Question & Answer

i think you need to do a lot of soul searching...

I suppose you need to decide how you see yourself as an adult. Do you see yourself married to a woman or in a relationship with another man.? In another words, before you sort out your botched circumcision, i feel that because you were born a male, and are attracted to males, that it simply means that you are gay. if you have a relationship with another male, he will be accepting of who you are and what you are, otherwise that relationship just isn't worth it.

I can't answer your question really, becuase it is a HUGE thing to decide. but remember it is up to you, and to stay true to yourself.
