Trichomoniasis- treatment without antibiotics?!

I got trich from my ex boyfriend back in June. I had a very specific set of symptoms and my doctor gave me metronidazole which cleared it up within 2 days. Stupidly, I slept with my ex boyfriend again about a month ago. He told he had been treated. Now I have the exact same symptoms again. I went to the doctor and they took a swab test and it came back negative, along with tests for all the other STD's. I asked her to give me metronidazole again because I know I have this. She wouldn't do it and told me it was all in my head.

Now I'm stuck with this disgusting discharge that I KNOW is trich. I can't afford to keep paying for doctor co-pays, so what am I supposed to do.? Is there any way I can get rid of this without a prescription.? I can't go to another doctor because where I live it takes 3 months to get an appointment as a new patient.Health Question & Answer
