Yes, your periods come on a regular cycle and they do warn you that they can be heavier with the IUD. I have heard that it is best to be fitted just after your period, but the doctor did not tell me that and i had mine fitted just before. This really hurt and i would not do it again! However, they did warn me that it could be "uncomfortable" because i had not had children and so the cervix is harder. However, it will last for ten years so at least i will not have the pain again for a long while!Health Question & Answer
Yes, your periods are the same. you may or may not feel something...most don't, some do, nothing too bad though, it is best fitted right after your periods.....IUD prevent egg from implanting in the uterus....pretty effective with minimal side effects....good luck!!Health Question & Answer
Your periods are the same and I didn't think it hurt, it is like having a smear test.........and then you can forget about it !
