i just started the pill this month and tonight i will take my third green pill, the last ones of the month. i heard its normal to skip your first period on birth control, is that true or can i still get it.? also, since there are four pills left and say i get my period tonight, how long will my period last.? Your Body needs time to get use to the pills. It is hard to say how long your period will last but it has nothing to do with the amount of green pills left. Even if you get your period on the last day of your green pill, you still start a new pack the next day. When I was on the pill, I would get my period on the Tuesday after I started taking the sugar pills and my period would last until around the following Tuesday, but I started a new pack on the Sunday. I would call your doctor and just ask the nurse your question so you can get a professional opinion.Health Question & Answer
