Though I ovulate late, but always ovulate...is it considered as PCOS?!
Question: Though I ovulate late, but always ovulate...is it considered as PCOS.?
I never had my period with skipping ovulation...i know this cos I temp every month. But yes I do ovulate late sometimes.....is it considered as PCOS.? I heard PCOS mean women not able to ovulate on own or having period without ovulation.
In my case, can Dr. recommend clomid, to not to ovulate late or is it that clomid is not given to women who ovulate on own.?Health Question & Answer

PCOS is a condition where your ovaries have a hard time releasing their eggs and instead get encased in cysts. Ony a doctor can diagnose this for you and it will probably involve an ultrasound.
I only have one ovary (lost one due to strangulation from a large cyst), and my doctor indicated that he might recommend clomid if I have a hard time getting pregnant. I had very irregular periods before being put on birth control 10 years ago. I'm not trying to conceive yet, but asked questions at my last yearly exam.
So, I'd recommend you just make an appointment with your doctor and ask questions about your fertility and what options you have to help you conceive.Health Question & Answer
