i got my second depo shot recently
ive had my period for over 1 month!
it seems to go away then comes back
i dont have any other problems but ive
been getting a bit weak but not much
but can other depo users please tell me your experiences.?!

It was hell for me. I was on it for nine months and never had a real period, but I was spotting constantly, but that was the best side effect I experienced. I did not get pregnant, or gain weight, but those were the only good things about it. It made me SO moody I was in a constant state of annoyance and would snap about absolutely ANYTHING at all, anything. Being alive annoyed me. I had headaches EVERYDAY all day long, NO sex drive and I would NEVER reccomend this to ANYONE on earth because it RUINED nine months of my life, I was a freaking monster and usually I am really laid back and rarely get annoyed at anything, like it would take alot to annoy me when I am not on that crap. It started to wear off about three weeks ago and I am starting to feel like myself again, although I am still spotting and the sex drive is not back yet, but I am laid back again, thank god, and I'm sure anyone who has to deal with me is glad too.Health Question & Answer
I took depo for a little over a year and will never ever take it again. The first 3 months was great...not having a period. After the second dose I had a period for 12 solid months. It would not stop.
The whole concept of depo is 3 months with no period...off a week to have your period and then back on 3 months with no period...
Sometimes that doesnt happen and if you're bleeding as much as you say you are...maybe depo isnt right for you.Health Question & Answer

Depo affects everyone differently. It is common for some women to have breakthrough bleeding and prolonged periods. Eventually, your body should adjust. Some women eventually have no periods at all. It just depends on you. You may also want to know that prolonged use of Depo can cause premature osteoporosis. I was on the depo for 5 years, and never had a problem with it.... except for the first 2 months, i had my period non stop, but once i got thru that everything was fine. My periods were very short, only like a day or so long, and I never got overly emotional! Plus it is amazing for cramps!Health Question & Answer
