So I havent had my period since August 15th, so I am going to the obgyn in a week, I took a test this morning and it was negative,
what will the obgyn do.? Will the do a pap smear.? And test for pregnancy.? I am really nervous, Will they do a urine test for pregnancy.?
I am so new at this...I am very shy as well...I am not even worried about being told that I am pregnant ( I dont wanna be pregnant thou), Im nervous about going to the doctor and have them looking and touching down there.Health Question & Answer

Answers:
They'll do a prego test by having you pee in a cup. They will do a pap and a pelvic exam (that's mostly them squishing around on your tummy, it doesn't hurt) and the pap will feel kinda like a pinch, not the best in the world but necessary. Before the pap they will insert a speculum which is kinda cold and uncomfortable but doesn't hurt. They may also do a breast exam to check for lumps.

I understand your nervousness. You have a legitimate concern and most of the time we always relate those areas to sex. ObGyns however, are looking at your from a medical standpoint and they are not judging your body at all or thinking about sex. As women experiencing these tests for the first time weall had the same anxieties so you are not weird in having them. After awhile you will feel better with a trusted physician. If you are old enough to have sex, you should have already seen an Ob, GYN.

well hun everyone is nervous about going to the gynecologist even if they have been going for the last 10 years.
well my first visit i was 15 i went to planned parent hood, they had me fill out some papers,then when i went back to the exam room they asked me some questions about periods and if i was sexually active,they handed me a cup to pee in, then they gave me a paper gown to wear and a paper like blanket, then they doctor came back in to the room she looked at my throat,did a breast exam, and then asked me to put my legs in the stirrups, she used this metal clamp thing but they are plastic now,and not as big. it was cold and it felt not really painful but uncomfortable kind like a pinching feeling. it really doesn't last that long like 10 mins for the hole thing breast exam included, then they let me get dressed and then they drew some blood and i was free to go after they handed me a big role of condoms and some birth control pills,
i am 27 now and its still uncomfortable but its better to get it done once a year that way you know your safe and healthy. you will be fine what i do is close my eyes and count till its over, or sing a song in my head, good luck hun hope i have helped some.Health Question & Answer
