I'm in a very desperate situation, Im 13 and having my period. After my first day of period my vagina got really itchy. Its now red and swollen. I think i felt something like rashes on my backside. I didn't have sex before. I've read informations about yeast infection but Im not sure if im having it.. could this be yeast infection or .?.? I don't dare to tell my mom, and was wondering if i really did have yeast infection, could there be something i could do on my own.? Please help me .. Its really irritating me >< And i had my period since 11, but only till now the itchiness started. I've been thinking of eating the peach yogurt in my fridge, wondering if it could help .. and please dont tell me to go to the doctor or something thnks ... Please help me !!Health Question & Answer

Hi- you could have a yeast infection or some type of irritation from say pads or tampons. There are over the counter yeast infection treatments but I would try to make sure of what it is before I treated it. I am the mother of a 12 year old daughter and I know how embarrassing these things can be but believe me your mom can help. Just about every woman I know has had a yeast infection ( me included and probably your mom too) . They can be very uncomfortable and if left untreated can become very painful. Please talk to your mom. That's what we're here for. If you just can't talk to mom, talk to an aunt or cousin or even a friends mom, just talk to someone before treating yourself. I have never tried these things before so i cant say they work.
Talking to your mom will only take a min and she will get you something all you have to say is i have a yeast infection and need some med. you will feel a million times better once its all cleared up!!Health Question & Answer

This does not sound like a yeast infection to me but it could be some other form of infection. Please talk to your mom even if it could be embarrassing theres nothing you can do on your own you need to see a dr. and get a perscription.Health Question & Answer
